A week ago I was using Arch Linux(3rd year of using Arch), did a kernel upgrade to 3.11+ and then 20 or so kernel panics and 2 days of trying to fix the issue resulted in good solution.Even downgrading couldn't solve it permanently.

So I searched for something like Arch linux ,fast, but slightly more stable and with a friendlier installing process.
Literally opened a tab for each of the Arch based distros: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Based_Distributions_%28Active%29

Downloaded each .iso, put them on the USB, and Manjaro was surprisingly one of the first one's I tried. Really liked it, so now it's my main OS. It's a fast distro as well, was quite the surprise!
Plus, I can finally search the net and fix stuff in a GUI environment when using a official Manjaro live iso if things go wrong! It really helps, especially when you only posses one computer.

As my old laptop gave up i wanted to convert to linux on the new one. I also found spatrys video about manjaro and but i started with ubuntu based distros where they had packaged fixes for my LAN and wireless drivers wich were not in the kernel back then. I remember my first posts here being here abbout how to solve those issues back with Manjaro in February. Came a long way since then! Special thanks to Ringo who has was there from the Very Beginning :)

I was looking for a DE that had Cinnamon and was Arch based way back when Cinnamon 1.6 was getting ready to be released, and I saw Manjaro, and thought to myself "hmmmm there is one" but then I saw Cinnarch and went there. Later I was looking for a MATE distribution, and found my way back here.

I was watching Sparty's Cup of Linux on Youtube about the Xfce version and thought I check it out. Like it but then I saw the Openbox flavour and downloaded that one. It was pretty much what I have been looking for. I was using crunchbang but I liked how Manjaro is more lightweight and a lot more up todate then Crunchbang is. So far I really can't say anything about the Manjaro Openbox edition.

I read about it a few months ago on another forum I think. I think that I spotted it on Youtube around the same time.

While some people knock DistroWatch rankings as being meaningless, others tend to hype it up. Either way, around 39% of current Manjaro users polled found the OS via DW. The consistent Top10 ranking shows what great work the development team are doing & will continue to attract new users. Roll on Manjaro!  ;)
