Just sent a request to ppk@cse.iitk.ac.in , (http://cse.iitk.ac.in/) for hosting the Manjaro mirror in the format specified by Phil http://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=Manjaro_Mirrors
They are already hosting arch.https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/15650
lets see how it goes :)

Hello ringo32 and thanks for your answer,

how do you determine if one mirror is better than another mirror? If you determine it by the update frequency, I did changed that to 5 minutes aswell.

Ping from Hamburg, Germany:
My mirror: 64 bytes from 94.23.144.4: icmp_req=1 ttl=60 time=24.1 ms
His mirror: 64 bytes from 144.76.72.180: icmp_req=1 ttl=60 time=26.8 ms

Ping from Gravelines, France:
My mirror: 64 bytes from 94.23.144.4: icmp_req=1 ttl=60 time=12.1 ms
His mirror: 64 bytes from 144.76.72.180: icmp_req=1 ttl=60 time=18.4 ms

Ping from Amsterdam, Netherlands:
My mirror: 64 bytes from 94.23.144.4: icmp_req=1 ttl=60 time=17.8 ms
His mirror: 64 bytes from 144.76.72.180: icmp_req=1 ttl=60 time=14.4 ms

Pings are nearly the same. For users from France, my mirror is even faster.

Let me know if you want me to change anything or need any further informations.

Hi and thanks for that mirror. Philm is away at the moment so we won't be able to integrate your mirror at the moment for a week or two i'm afraid. I'll see what i can do.

mirror i send is very handy since you sinc about 10 minutes.  that mirror sync about 5 minutes its in line of your ;) but if you focus on connection speed to the tear1 mirror as example you looking for most mirrors Synces around 4 to 6 hours depend on an mirror.
http://mirror.netzspielplatz.de/manjaro/packages is also in germany. Mirror you focussed seems to have bit problem philm can fix after it.. when he get back offcoursE.

netspielpltaz syncs every 5 minutes :) France also nice but thats mostly in hours i thought 4 ..

I'm currently in India. Rob and Joshua have the same rights to include new mirrors into our mirrorlist we provide in our core-repositories. The mirror netzspielplatz is already part of it: https://github.com/manjaro/pacman-mirrors/blob/master/data/mirrors/Germany

Is it also possible to get access to the rsync server rsync://repo.manjaro.org/repos so my mirror can sync even faster?
Static IP: 94.23.144.4

Thanks!

Hey,

i'm also setup an mirror some weeks ago:

Here are the specs:
http://mirror.intercolo.net/manjaro
ftp://mirror.intercolo.net/manjaro
rsync://mirror.intercolo.net::manjaro
smb://mirror.intercolo.net/public/manjaro
nfs://mirror.intercolo.net/srv/mirror/web/manjaro

Could you please add the IPs (v4/v6) to the whitelist?
The renew-time is every 6 hours

Actually we're syncing from ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de but i would change to the direct servers

Greetings
Steven

mirror.netcologne.de is now mirroring manjaro
« Reply #43 on: 24. December 2014, 12:01:15 »
Hey all,

I maintain mirror.netcologne.de. Yesterday I set up mirroring from rsync.mirrorservice.org, the files are now available at:

 http://mirror.netcologne.de/manjaro
 ftp://mirror.netcologne.de/manjaro
 rsync://mirror.netcologne.de/manjaro

The box itself has 4 Gbit/s of IPv4+IPv6 uplink, our network is very well connected via peerings and upstreams.

Could you please add our mirror to your list, so it can be easily found by folks that it's useful to.

Hello,

I recently started to get issues with mirroring the Manjaro Repo.

I am syncing from mirror.netzspielplatz.de and I am mirror.finn.lu.

Code: [Select]
mirror@mirror:~# rsync rsync://mirror.netzspielplatz.de/manjaro-repo
Module             | Content and size
-------------------+----------------------------------------------

@ERROR: max connections (5) reached -- try again later

I am now mirroring from mirror.netcologne.de, however I wish my mirror would be more up to date.

rsync://mirror.finn.lu
ftp://mirror.finn.lu
http://mirror.finn.lu

Anything possible?
