For the record, if there is any interest in an i3 or awesome edition of Manjaro, I'd be happy to help maintain it.  ;)

would that not be to much  for a growing distro?  Lxde / XFCE /cinnamon-gnome/ KDE isnt that to Much when you put Awesome etc connect to it?   Then will commes a Mate-DE edition too?? mayby in combination with XFCE?  MATE-VFS would be a good replacement for the gnome-vfs in xfce..... :) it can depend on togettor like Cinnamon/gnome ... but stay on the basics would be better :)

I don't see your point. I say the more flavors available, the better! Nothing wrong with offering options, unless the more obscure options are poorly maintained.

basic flavors now availble is good but to support and maintain those thinks is lot of work? Prefer a stable system. then a range supported DE and one of them is unstable.
flavors now avaible is good enough al to much but its now good., if you see Linux Mint  is older then Manjaro but they maintain basicly 3 desktops and maintain poorly LMDE but focus on there development and stable.  mix of ubuntu package and debian..., but this distro is great but doing to much is not always good, when you do something then do it good not the half :) thats my point!
