canon printer prints photos way too dark
« on: 07. May 2016, 14:15:07 »
I had to replace my good old HP printer so I got myself a Canon Pixma MG4250 .... after installing gutenprint and foomatic-db-gutenprint I insttalled the new printer, it didn't go smoothly but after a while I got it working with the "CUPS + Gutenprint v5.2.11 simplified" driver.
But it prints photos too dark ... a lot of black, not much colour ...
Copies of pictures I made directly from the printer to photo paper are good.

Anybody an idea how this can be fixed?

Many thanks.

Problem solved, I downloaded and installed cnijfilter-mg4200 from AUR ...

If other problems with the printer pop-up I shall post a new thread
