Pamac Not Right
« on: 03. May 2016, 16:27:39 »
I have had Pamac installed from forever ,along with Octopi  though i only use the terminal for updates installation etc. I have always kept them  for testing purposes..

Yesterday after reading some improvements to Pamac had been made i investigated and

1.. Pamac  wont open from terminal though opens from menu

2.. looks ugly as hell.... all menu / headings are bunched together in middle of screen, theme not working at all, even notify icon menu has odd theme / font

3... pretty much won't work.. everything i tried from deleteing orphans to installing, said  Not Authorised  yet no offer for password etc

4 seems immune to having screenshots taken....have tried a number of times and will show background image  etc but not the open Pamac  window

I have no idea when this started as I haven't used this comp for a while ..it is fully up to date on everything  though i also cant get fullscreen on web videos..maybe happened at the same time

Do you have installed the new pamac4.0rc1-2?
Are you using a theme compatible with new gtk3?
Ιt would be useful to mention them here:

The recent update to the new GTK messed a number of things up, including the Pamac interface in most themes.

Try switching to the Vertex Maia theme, which is made to support the new GTK for the most part.

Because pamac uses gtk3.
Did you check others gtk3 apps?
