Configuring Battery icon to show on panel
« on: 02. May 2016, 17:28:55 »
Hi. My panel doesn't display the battery status. I checked the conkyrc file and saw that it was using BAT1. I checked my battery and it is BAT0. I tried to replace BAT1 with BAT0 but it didn't work. What am I supposed to do?

First, determine if your panel is actually using that conky. Assuming its limepanel, check /usr/bin/limepanel. The latest version does not use conky. If that is what you have, then
1)
Code: [Select]
cp /usr/bin/limepanel to $HOME/.bin/mylimepanel2) make it executable with
Code: [Select]
chmod +x $HOME/.bin/mylimepanel3) replace BAT1 with BAT0 in $HOME/.bin/mylimepanel
Code: [Select]
sed -i s/BAT1/BAT0/g  $HOME/.bin/mylimepanel 4) edit your autostart to run mylimepanel instead of limepanel
