YET ANOTHER GTK+ UPDATE - GNOME Dev Blog
« on: 01. May 2016, 23:17:16 »
An interesting apologia explanation of everything that happened during the recent GTK3 debacle upgrade, by Matthias Clasen.

https://blogs.gnome.org/mclasen/2016/04/29/yet-another-gtk-update/

Regardless of my personal take on the situation, there is some really good information here for theme artists et al, and the logic behind what was a much bigger update than most assumed. Also should be of interests to those comfortable with CSS stylings and not opposed to experimenting on existing themes.

The author of the blog, Matthias Clasen, is a Red Hat developer of the GNOME desktop and well respected within the Linux community.
