Yeah, that is was using. But I found out the difference now: the filemanager in the screenshot is gtk2 version of pcmanfm. Vertex looks much better on gtk2 than gtk3.

Also it's cheated a little in that in the screenshot I turned on the window border and i3 theming is set to have the exact same color as the gtk-theme when the window is unfocused >:D

The latest updated manjaro-i3-settings package now has the settings with Vertex-Maia themes.
For those who still would like to install the solarized settings despite the gtk theme not working properly with gtk3 apps, I created a separate package for now: manjaro-i3-solarized-settings ::)

@oberon your xresources color scheme has one issue on dark terminal windows. Strange you haven't noticed, you use a dark terminal on your screenshot. This colour needs to be changed, can;t see a thing
Code: [Select]
*color4:                #001B33
Here's my modified colour-scheme, color 1,2 and 4 are changed
Code: [Select]
!---oberon's colour scheme---!
!! black dark/light
*color0:                #282928
*color8:                #272827

!! red dark/light
*color1:                #CD4042
*color9:                #985F31

!! green dark/light
*color2:                #699990
*color10:               #16A085

!! yellow dark/light
*color3:                #5CE022
*color11:               #63B93D

!! blue dark/light
*color4:                #99BBDA
*color12:               #839496

!! cyan dark/light
*color6:                #4F6A98
*color14:               #2269E0

!! white dark/light
