Lighter greens are no good because you can't easily read white text on them.

...and before anyone says "just make the text black!" be sure you've forked our packages-community repo, modified our theme PKGBUILD's with changes to make selection text black, and submitted a pull request. :P

That's beautiful! 8)
btw. Are the shadows around your panels intentional? You do know that it is possible to remove them - I'm wondering if that would be even better, but I think it looks really great the way it is, too!

The shadows aren't intentional, however I do like the shadow under the vertical panel on the left side. I'd prefer to remove the shadow on the bottom panel for an even cleaner look.

I don't know how to remove the shadow though.

Does anyone know?

if you use compton for compositing, it's possible to shadow-exclude specific objects by using their x-properties, usually name or class. Name is better than class.
To know x-property of an object run 'xprop' in terminal and click on it. If the object steals focus, like xfce logout dialogue, oblogout then use 'sleep 5s && xprop' instead and launch that object within those 5 seconds, get ready to click. As soon as you click huge list of x-properties are printed in your terminal, find WM_NAME or WM_CLASS. Refer to compton manpage (run 'man compton') to see the syntax for shadow-exclude. Here's my config
Code: [Select]
shadow-exclude = [
"name = 'Notification'",
"WM_CLASS@:s = 'conky'",
"class_g ?= 'Notify-osd'",
"class_g = 'Cairo-dock'",
"class_g = 'Docky'",
"_GTK_FRAME_EXTENTS@:c",
"_NET_WM_STATE@:a = '_NET_WM_STATE_MAXIMIZED_HORZ'",
"_NET_WM_STATE@:a = '_NET_WM_STATE_MAXIMIZED_VERT'",
"WM_NAME@:s = 'xfce4-session'",
"name = 'Whisker Menu'",
"WM_NAME@:s = 'plank'",
"WM_CLASS@:s = 'VirtualBox'",
# "WM_NAME@:s = 'Top Expanded Edge Panel'",
# "WM_NAME@:s = 'Bottom Expanded Edge Panel'",
# "WM_NAME@:s = 'xfce4-panel'",
"WM_NAME@:s = 'Openbox Logout'",
"WM_NAME@:s = 'tint2'"
];
You can;t grab whiskermenu using xprop, ^ i got it working with trial and error :P

In Xfce you can simply switch off "shadow under dock windows" in xfce compositor. ;) Then of course, both panels will be shadow-less!

This fifth day with unstable and new theme I m getting like new color :D First impression make me a little irritate but using awhile it becomes more and more beautiful :D

I like metallic black like windows bars and corners
Buttons very good and original
