I think that it would replace one, not add one more.

thats what I mean :)

Since manjaro is arch based, maybe it is enough to add mhwd to architect installer and change the repos.
If it works we have less work with our own installer and we can share the code base.

But I am not a programmer, just suggestion it. ;)

maybe I got it wrong, I thought the idea is to drop thus on day and use calamares. I am suggestion the same here but for cli.

It is my understsnding too thst calamares is intended to replace thus at some point when it reaches maturity. So we would have 2 installers in long term, both of which could possibly benefit from developement of other projects.

The package set architect installs is much smaller than manjaro does, so the list would probably also have to be tweaked. But that is easy to do and does not even require any progrsmming skills.

It must be in the air ... i was just considering peoples install/booting woes.

But,with regards to these issues and subsequent mhwd glitches that arise on some hardware ..
I was considering integration of something like Plop or UltraIO that bypasses BIOS to diagnose issues ... problem is,both i have mentioned are closed-source packages and ive yet to find open source replacement that appear to offer the same features ... even interrogating Memtest+86 for solutions.

Besides,i havent a thorough knowledge of existing projects yet,and what features that exist ... some installs will require 'custom-fitting' ... especially for those with MS Dual-Boot ... the challenge is to equip novices with the information they need to make alterations, and instill the confidence in them so they can execute the tasks ... the balance is,providing this without anxiety producing information overload ... not easy.

before you start to work on porting the architect cli installer, you should definitely talk to artoo. he has already suggested how a new cli installer could look like a couple of months ago.
just write him a PM.
