Amazing April screenshots
« on: 10. April 2016, 17:46:19 »
I'll kick off the screenshot thread for April 2016.

I like my XFCE configuration so much, that I wish it was the standard for Manjaro after a fresh install. I love how clean it looks.

Some features of it are:

- Xfce desktop environment
- Greenbird theme and style
- Faenza-green icons
- Liberation Sans (font)
- Transparent thick panels
- A side panel that auto-hides
- Official Manjaro desktop background

Nice setup there    Heart Of A Lion

Tho like Plasma 5 so running Netrunner on Dual Display setup.

I like that you have two side-panels in a splitted fashion to account for your desktop background. Nifty!

Yep just put a spacer there on one panel splitting apps for sake of wallpaper.
Also most used apps are on bottom less mousing motion.
And close to bottom panel for Menu and all my info like Gmail,Weather,Clock,Calendar.

Small update.

I made the panels fully transparent and changed the Manjaro menu icon to a circular one. Going for an even cleaner look.

Playing with KDE

Horrible, jumbled-up, excessive monitor crap! :(

Great application launcher, though! :D

Well don't use those things myself as a one simply Conky gives all that info.

But for other like gmail,Weather,etc.. Panel based works quite well.

You can keep in Minimal and Clean if you chose to do so.

Lololol!. I was just playing with it. I still can't find a legitimate use for 90% of the widgets. I removed all of 'em shown after the screenshot. A conky or two is a more elegant solution, I agree. :D

I am going to revive the old LSD conky, or mess around with a THC conky in a day or so.

I hope I didn't cause too much acid-reflux for anyone viewing my screenshots.  >:D

But yep widgets still have a waty to go so I keep the minimum  I need keeping them on the panel out of the way till needing info.

Here's an old screenshot with the old Manjaro/LSD conky in Openbox. Better?  >:D
