Manjaro Gaming 16.03 released
« on: 11. March 2016, 22:39:34 »
Hey Guys,
Today, my own version of Manjaro Distribution was now released to the public!

After multiple times building my own Manjaro Distribution with Manjaro-Tools onto I got it right. It's finally done. I tested it and I just uploaded it to SourceForge Website.

This Manjaro Distribution I just create was Manjaro Gaming 16.03.

32-Bit 16.03 ISO Download

64-Bit 16.03 ISO Download

What is Manjaro Gaming?

This Manjaro Distribution was design for Gamers.

I set XFCE Start Menu, File Manager, and everything to Dark Theme. So, it will be a lot easy for your eyes.

I turn off the Sleep Mode. So, your computer won't go to Sleep Mode while you're still playing games with a GamePad or watching a long cutscene.

I add Bookmarks on FireFox Web Browser.

Here's a list of Application I added to this distribution.

Software:
- Audacity
- OBS Studio
- OpenShot
- PlayOnLinux
- Skype
- VirtualBox
- Wine (Wine is not an Emulator)

Emulators: (Roms not included)
- DeSmuME (Nintendo DS)
- Dolphin Emulator (GameCube, Wii)
- DOSBox (DOS)
- Fceux (NES)
- Gens/GS (Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega 32X)
- PCSXR (PlayStation)
- PCSX2 (PlayStation 2)
- PPSSPP (Sony PSP)
- Stella (Atari 2600)
- VBA-M (Game Boy Advance)
- Yabause (Sega Saturn)
- ZSNES (Super Nintendo)

Terminal Add-on:
- ScreenFetch

Awesome! 8)
And congratulations, @ABOhiccups! It's certainly not a piece of cake to get an ISO built with all those racy changes in manjaro-tools, recently, and I know what I'm talking about!  ::) :P ;D
manjaro is addictive ::)

This  ^-^
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checksum

when you build  a iso our script automatically create a checksums

see here
https://sourceforge.net/projects/manjarolinux/files/release/15.12/xfce/
you see a file called ....md5sums.txt
this contain the checksums  :) is only to verify if the iso downloaded is the same  ;)

I don't know. I'll just release ISO.

Also, How do you add Linux Logo on SourceForge? I did not have Linux Logo on my Project Page. But, this Project Page does.

You can also run this command
Code: [Select]
openssl dgst -md5 -hex /path/to/manjaro-gaming.iso -out /path/to/manjaro-gaming.iso.md5sum.txtor just
Code: [Select]
md5sum /path/to/manjaro-gaming.isoand publish the result here and if it is not too difficult for you on Sourceforge.
Otherwise, my full respect for your achievement!

Never mind. I just have to go to Categorization in Admin settings and add Operating System :: Modern (Vendor-Supported) Desktop Operating Systems :: Linux under Operating System.

Hi there,

I wonder if there will be even more profound changes equaled to the conventional Manjaro spins.
Especially in terms of gampad support.

Just asking because i don even understand the problem myself:

In Archlinux I can aktivate my Xbox 360 Wireless Gamepad and it works good (same in Ubuntu).
In Manjaro there will be blinking lights on it. The only way to solve it, is to use the Steamos Xpad DKMS Module, which doesn't work with everey kernel.
I don't know why this is in Manjaro but not in Arch. I tested every Kernel but its allways the same.

Just asking :D
Keep up for thes Spin. ItÅ› very interessting to me! :D
