demand a qt5 version from hp :P

See not everyone has a hp printer, I do not think it should be added by default if it is the only reason for qt4 to be added. And you can always install it yourself. The driver only version without the gui, do you think you can use system printer settings instead to setup your printer?
I guess it talk about to install it by default, as it's not soon qt4 will be removed from repos, as there is a lot of application who still depend on it like as simplescreenrecorder, vlc, skype and other application

I'll be switching to firefox when it becomes fully gtk3. Should not take long anymore, but probably not in this release. Unless I learn how to force uninstall packages from the iso chroot. Then I would totslly do firefox.

I thought Firefox is fully gtk3 already? At least starting from version 46, e.g. the one I prepared for you.

Imho it should be. However, we are using the arvh upstream package in the repos: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/firefox/
When 46 hits repos, I hope it is gtk3 only, because it really works just fine without gtk2. Even 45 version.

I think I'll setup an online repo myself so I can include firefox-gtk3. I figured I can probably use dropbox for that.

Ok, I found something even better: lightforefox in aur. It is stripped down firefox. It even has chromium style omnibar, just the way I like it. I made a gtk3 version of it and uploaded it to dropbox. Also found out how to host repos in dropbox, so I should get out the next release this week if everything goes well.

... Also found out how to host repos in dropbox ...

Can you elaborate please? I'm looking to setup a repo, too.

I haven't tested it yet, but based on research it seems really simple.
1) create a local repo
2) put it in your Public dropbox folder
Done. Online repo is set up. To use it
3) get address of repo by right clicking one of the files in repo and choosing 'get a public link'. Replace the filename in the end of that address with '$arch'.

Sounds good, thanks!
Unforunately I'm limited to 80 kbyte/s upload speed...

I hear some people also use google drive for that, if the limitation is due to dropbox.

:(

I can't get it to work with Dropbox. Maybe it's because the Public folder only works with Dropbox Pro?

You could replace gedit with journal. It a lightweight gtk3 text editor. It look a little bit like gedit. I just don't know how much they are a like. But it just a idea if like to try it out.

I could not get it to build from aur (even after fixing the parts that should have been arrays). Also, vala dependency seems rather big. I'll check it again later. However, I'll probably use gedit for this release.

I had issue with the aur build to. So I just build it from source.
