severe overheating when updated to kernel 3.5.4

i updated my kernel this morning to 3.5.4 and my laptop gets up to 78degrees C just streaming music of grooveshark on firefox on 3.4.10 i rarely got over 74 C watching full 1080p video is there a way to revert back to 3.4.10

You can simply install the old 3.4 kernel.

If you didn't remove the old kernel, it should be anyway still installed on our system. Just use the right entry in grub :)
