[edit:] The agreement was signed by all 12 countries. Now there is an up to 2 year time frame for each country to make this agreement legally binding in their territory. So we are now in the final stage for this fight, where each country has to be persuaded to serve its people & not the best interest of big media (based in the U.S.) & other corporate entities. This entire agreement has been manufactured by corporations to give them consistent legal power over as many countries as possible.

I'll post appropriate partitions & letters to be signed & sent to the trade ministers & associated people in the various countries as they come to hand.
_______________________________________________

Please add your name to the letter being sent to the trade minister of your country?

If this agreement gets through, the internet will be under the control of the big media corporations that are based in the U.S..

This agreement will legally empower these corporations, thus enabling them to force the governments of the countries that signed the agreement to bring about sweeping changes to the laws associated with the internet in said countries.

Due to this the internet freedom that most of us currently enjoy will become a thing of the past.

The ultimate tyranny in a society is not control
by martial law. It is control by the psychological
manipulation of consciousness, through which reality
is defined so that those who exist within do not even
realize that they are in prison.

Looks like this action is really taking off:

Quote
, thank you so much for taking action to tell Trade Ministers that you don’t want them to sign the TPP. Our campaign has really taken off – over 30,000 have joined in just the last 24 hours.
We only have days left before they meet to ink the deal in New Zealand, so we need to make this campaign as huge as possible, and really show our opposition now.

not sure how NZ works, but in Canada, "signing" it is not the same as actually "ratifying" it.?

In Canada recently, the IDIOT Government signed it, but Canadians have 2 years to decide if they want to fully ratify it.
NO ONE we know wants this TPP, but being that all Politicians are just puppets for Corporations, they're under pressure, we can only hope they don't actually ratify it.

ALL these so-called "Trade Deals" are just sooooo bad for the 99%   :(

Sadly, all 12 countries just signed the TPP,  in Auckland, New Zealand.
https://www.rt.com/news/331210-tpp-signed-auckland-protest/

Now it's up to any individual countries, within the next 2 years, to NOT ratify it, and opt out.?
 But, imho, that won't happen,
 very sad indeed.

And they signed it even in light of the Japanese finance minister, one of the top TPP negotiators, resigning over bribery allegations.

A lot can happen politically in two years, it ain't over yet.

I've been signing things & sending letters against this lot since the first content leak of their secret negotiations which must be over 7 years ago by now. I think that the countries would have been all signed on years ago if it wasn't for the consistent & growing public opposition to the TPP that exists. If nothing else we have irritated them & caused them to some inconvenience.

Perhaps all that our opposition has done is to have increased the size of the pay-offs that are offered to those who need to be persuaded...

Anyway, I'm glad my name doesn't go down in the history books as one of those who sold out to this illegal & immoral agreement.

It may yet be beaten.

It's about what economic benefits can this provide for ALL the people(s) ?
Why don't they atleast answer that, instead of being oxymoronic about it all?

That is what the TPP not only fails to address, but they ignore it wholeheartedly and constitutionally, as if they don't even care about democratic constitutionality, in any form, within any government. -They're successful objective is -"We've already conquered ALL governments, so this is just the legal fine print...".

Isn't that Corporatism for the few against the many? -that's what it's all about, imho.

Hmm, if they answered frankly, there would be no guaranty that we would believe them.

A very interesting official statement from German Association of Judges against TTIP (similar to TPP, but trans-atlantic). Sorry, no translation available http://www.drb.de/cms/index.php?id=952
To sum it up: TTIP is "breaking the law, breaking the law, breaking the law." ;) :P
Just kidding! They critisize the Investment Court System (ICS), they say European and national laws protect investors well enough.
