[How-To] Mark Topic as solved
« on: 25. March 2013, 22:23:49 »
Hi!

I really often see that users don't use our "Topic Solved" Button near the bottom of the topic.

So please, don't write [Solved] into the subject, use our "Topic Solved" Button.

Only the creator of the topic can mark it as solved, and for this it's not necessary to have a longer edit time because this button will always work.

In the next few days i will go through all solved topics and remove [Solved] in the subject and mark it as solved. If you see a topic with [Solved] in the subject you can write me a PM, or if you the owner or a Mod, you can do it on your own.

Thanks.

And btw: please don't use the report function only to tell me something like a mistake you made or a double post. The report function is to report spam or something else. Thanks.

This should be added to the "forum rules" that are shown when you create an account. These should be easily accessible as a sticky topic, e.g. in the "Newbie Corner", too, for later reference.

Can you please show me a screenshot of one of your topic.

The "Topic Solved" Button is at the bottom of each topic.

In the image below is where it appears for me.  This is what it looks like after you click Topic Solved.

Hmmm...seek a ye shall find. I focused on the top right and didn't expect to see it in the fine print at the bottom left of the page.  :-[

Topic Solved button is down the bottom of the page. It be in different locations  (left or right) depending on your display setup (resolution & all that).

by martial law. It is control by the psychological
manipulation of consciousness, through which reality
is defined so that those who exist within do not even
realize that they are in prison.

I'm sorry Handy but I really cannot see it.
New Screenshot, with the full bottom of my screen (and of the webpage):

I've tried disabling all addons (ghostery, adblock edge...) and also with midori freshly installed... still can't see it.
Cheers,
