From Netinstall to Fluxbox Edition
« on: 19. January 2016, 22:59:42 »
Hi there,

Due to a problem with the Graphic Card, I cannot use the Fluxbox iso (I need the latest kernel even for the installation), but I can install the Net version.
Is there any script I can run from the netintall version to actually install and configure everything so that at the end I have the system like the Fluxbox edition?

Thanks in advance

Manajro recently implemented a new innovative concept: settings packages. You can search them, they are called manjaro-fluxbox-settings, manjaro-lxqt-settings and so on.
I think you can install fluxbox and manjaro-fluxbox-settings with pacman.
You will probably need some more stuff like display manager (LightDM is the most common), network, etc...
See https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=Installation_Guide_for_the_NET_Edition_0.8.10 for further details.

Is not really working.. After installing everything as in the link @eugen-b suggested me, I rebooted and fluxbox doesn't start; it seems like a problem with the graphic card perhaps when I run the DM, it was working fine..

Any other suggestion?

If Net edition is too demanding you can try Xfce minimal or Bwspm edition (examples of ISOs with 4.4 kernel) and add a Fluxbox session.

Sounds great!

I found only the XFCE regular version (http://sourceforge.net/projects/manjarolinux/files/release/15.12/xfce/) not the minimal.
Where can I find the minimal one?
