I don't see a network / wifi icon on your screenshots, is that still a problem on budgie?

Shouldn't be. It was fixed upstream and now appears--albeit sometimes randomly. Budgie is good enough to use as a fulltime DE/WM at this point (which I am doing in vanilla Arch). You can expect the Raven control center notification, clock, etc. panel icons to re-arrange themselves to their own liking on re-boot, however. What the heck--gives it character. ;)

Budgie is just too cool. And half the calories of GNOME (or Deepin)! :D

Regards.
P.S. Ikey & Co. are really busy polishing Budgie. Since I installed, it's gone from vers. 10.1 to 10.2.2-2 in just a very few days. According to the 'chatter' Budgie will soon be in Arch main repos, rather than the AUR.

A bit off-topic here: Is it possible to get a right-click menu like in Openbox on Budgie?

When I tried solus, I had same problem with missing network icon, installed evopop icons and the problem was gone.
I like the Budgie desktop, but not on solus, prefer a Manjaro based budgie.
Thanks Ste74 for all your good work. Waiting for your upload is finished.

No, I mean right-click on the desktop and you get an applications menu, like it is possible in Xfce, too. You get there one entry Applications which you can enable, this entry containts the applications menu. Such a solution I would like even more than Openbox style.

You (so far) get the same right-click menus as you would get in any GNOME 3.18 desktop. "New  Folder, New Document, Paste, Select All, blah blah.

Try adding Openbox as the WM?
