Small issue with systemd-jounrald during shutdown
« on: 28. December 2015, 11:36:16 »
So, during shutdown on my netbook which is running kernel 4.3.3, x86_64, and fluxbox, during shutdown the verbose shows a small issue. "Systemd-Journald [154]: Failed to send stream file descriptor to service manager: connection refused", other lines at the end show up as "Transport end point not connected". It doesn't effect the shutdown, I just want to know why it is appearing and how to fix it. The image below show what comes up during shutdown.

Any help or info would be great, thank you.

Did it happen several times? Did it happen with different kernels?

Hi eugen-b,

It happens everytime I shutdown. I haven't used any other kernels.

Installed 4.2.8.1 kernel and I don't have the same issue. Who should I report this issue to?

Good! :D But I mean to remember that the 4.2.8 kernel is the last of the series and will soon reach end of life. How about 4.1 kernel?
Report? I would report if it was an RC kernel or an LTS. Then to Philm or if you want on kernel.org

So, I shutdown my netbook a few minutes ago and the same issue came up. So, I will try a fresh install and go from there.
