Great News, i booted Solus 1.0 - such a nice desktop!
Solus is OK--if you can get it to boot. (Hint: tab-insert "root=live:/dev/sdb1" or sbd2 at boot will usually work until they patch the release ISO). It also lacks the ability to create or mount a "/home" partition, which I find rather '90s. And a control panel for a control panel does seems a bit overkill, also. But I really like the fact that Budgie is a basic shell for GNOME, with about half the RAM requirements but with complete applications compatibility.
Stefano's Budgie desktop will be superior to Solus' Budgie desktop. He & Bernhard are killin' it on the new DEs lately.
