Sound Settings disappeared
« on: 15. March 2016, 20:40:05 »
So my sound settings have disappeared from the Settings Manager window. This happened many updates ago. Also my laptops built in microphone isn't working. Under Wandblows OS it does, I've tried the settings in alsamixer but it's still not working.

Hmm, I never knew Xfce Settings Manager had a sound settings applet to begin with. Are you using Alsa or Pulseaudio? Do you have a sound applet in Whiskermenu anywhere?

Regards.

c00ter is correct, there is not any sound settings in the settings manager in XFCE...

you should have a Audio Mixer and PulseAudio Volume Control item in your Multimedia menu, that's where you can adjust settings for audio

I've done that or similar myself. It is usually when a problem arises, because when everything is hunky-dory there is no need. In fact, I distinctly remember your situation because I've done exactly the same myself.  I can usually get by with an, "oh well, stoned again," or "dammit, another Senior Moment©":-[  :-[  :-[
