Doesn't work on my new PC (UEFI), nor with thus or calamares.

1) the 1st choice of the 1st menu doesn't work, it stops before the desktop
2) the grub is not installed. With thus, i can't select /dev/sda2 as /boot/efi, and with calamares,at the end, grub is bad installed.

It can be due to the last windows 10 update ?

I stay under W10 for the moment.  :(

Toshiba Satellite M50D-A-10Z (AMD A6 CPU, integrated GPU) - live environment works with default, not with non-free drivers (may be an older issue, can't remember). Installed system is fine (except for the occasionally buggy trackpad general Linux issue)

Please note that the Xfce Whisker Menu icon isn't working. The typo has been fixed in Git for the final release, however.

Can you please check fstab on the installed system, the /boot/efi mount comes after /boot mount if installed with calameres?

@artoo, this means you assume escapion have both /boot and /boot/efi partitions and mount points?
And if /boot is also in vfat (fat32) format, won't bootctl (systemd boot) take precedence over grub?

This is intriguing, and hope you can confirm your findings. Thanks.

ps: I've done /boot (no /boot/efi) in fat32 and bootctl implements (without loader.conf or <os>.conf .... so won't boot straitaway without manually adding conf files)
Have not done both /boot (in any format) and /boot/efi (at installation).
And after installation, I can install grub2 (by mounting an esp partition as /boot/efi) and have both bootctl and grub2 for the same OS.

As with the given Calamares installer you need to do a special partitioning to get it working.

As with the given Calamares installer you need to do a special partitioning to get it working.

Also in net installs. But always best to have partitioning ready before installation, whatever installer is used.

Will Calamares support proper automatic setup of SSD? Or is it still necessary to manually partition it?
