thank philm, was a doubt about it. now I understand.

We will simple ship both. We might even split pamac into a update notifier and package manager frontend so we don't have some duplicated applications.

would be interesting!

first of all congratulations for their work.

I bring a small suggestion:
As seen in the image, in the tab "about", the phrase "An unrequired installed package (no other package depends on it)" may confuse the user. I suggest the following sentence:
"Package installed (not required for others)"

And moreover,
How I can help with translation of Octopi into Italian and Spanish?

Great job!

Octopi is now in our Manjaro-Unstable repos and can be installed with:

Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -U http://mirror.dacentec.com/manjaro/pool/octopi-0.1.0317-1-`uname -m`.pkg.tar.xz

I saw that a new version (0.1.0318-1). I've installed (by replacing 0.1.0317-1 by 0.1.0318-1) and working properly.

great job again

Bersil,

Thanks for your suggestion, it was implemented in 0.1.2.

And about translations... I'll surely welcome and NEED all your help!
But let's wait for the 0.2.x series, as I suppose the strings will not freeze until there.

Could be like this?

First, thanks for all your work. Snappy and i find it visually more appealing then Pamac, though i'm still using Package Browser and Pacman GUI yaourt. Is it planed to implement categorys in the future? I mean like internet, where one can find all the available browsers? Or multimedia would list all audio+video players?

Friend, I'm afraid this kind of feature is not coming to Octopi any time soon. That's because we are havily dependent on pacman  and this is not implemented there.

The good news is that Octopi 0.1.3 has been released! It's a version everyone should upgrade or take a look into.
