Aha! I am going to give it a go as well :)
I got the same result with unstable as with testing. Back on stable until I can get this sorted out...

I hesitate to upload it.  ::)
i recommend to only upload stable releases.

i just installed lxqt 0.10 from the unstable branch in a temporary manjaro setup. it looks good. i do not have the same bug as you. but i had to install it on top of manjaro xfce.
one bug i have noticed: lxqt-about shows version 0.9 and not version 0.10.

Yep i noted that also and said to jleclanche. Same prob on several tools, for example lxqt-panel -v

Else, I upload now a "Kleenex" (disposable  ;D) ISO . I would remove it in few days.

@ eugen-b : have a look on the folder 2015.11-absolutely-unstable/. It will be removed in a week.

Note the home made green icons.  ;D

I need an advice on the wallpaper : manjaro-green or manjaro-black ?

A stunning improvement as far as the panel is concerned! I remember how much I complained about it half a year ago. Now I have nothing to complain. Some tweaks here and there and it will be perfect.

Only the clock doesn't want to realise that the panel was made vertical, although there is a setting for it in its dialog.
Once when I was changing panel settings it [the panel] crashed but the panel recovered very quickly.
The menu is ok, it looks like the icons are 24x24, aren't they? But it doesn't become transparent OOTB, maybe with compton.conf one can change it.
Icons have a nice green, I like that it is not Manjaro default. The wallpaper is from my collection, but I'm sure you'll find one for your taste. Your wallpapers are always a great choice.
Octopi notifier is not visible at start, nm-applet neither (and its icon doesn't work, but it recovers after some 30 minutes).
But I really really like it!! Because I see that these issue can be overcome either by you as maintainer or by the upstream very soon.
And it is phenomenally fast even with Compton fading effects, even on a very slow USB stick!
LXQt team has done a very good job! And you will create one of your technical and aestetical masterpieces so many users are looking forward to seeing. No flattering, it's the truth.

I think that there are a lot of people waiting for the finalised (bug free) release of LXQT. I know I am. 12 months?
I'll enjoy having a go at a GTK free system (that is systemd free also of course).

For the Menu, it follows the size of the characters. You easily change the icon's size, now.

Yep, an issue is already open on this missing auto-rotate behaviour.

Handy, you jumped to gentoo?

I'm also playing with Tiny Core at the moment. The Frugal install method is certainly a different way of using Linux than I've ever experienced before. It will take me a while to get my head around it. It certainly is systemd free, & tiny it also is for sure. It looks to be built using busybox , though at this stage I could be very wrong about a lot of things re. Tiny Core. ;)

Check this little rave out: I love it! :D

P.S. I'll still hang around & do a bit here too. :)

unfortunately, i cannot test this at the moment.
have you tried both clocks? there are 2 different clock panel plugins available.

attention: if you use the "world clock plugin" with lxqt installed on a laptop, your battery will not last as long. "world clock" has a performance problem at the moment.

@ eugen-b : i look at your picture, and I will say than now the key Print-Screen, alone or with Alt or Shift call scrot for screen, window, or user-defined area capture. A new thing I added in the last stable.

@excalibur1234, I saw only one clock and one world clock, will take a look again later.
@Esclapion, I'm very bad in remembering keyboard shortcuts. Are they handeled by Openbox in LXQt or by a special application? I have a proposal to do some additional work and make a usable Openbox session. At least a menu with installed applications which you can also activate in desktop background dialog. I learned to like Openbox of recent.
