Recommend a printer for Manjaro.
« on: 27. October 2015, 06:15:16 »
I have had a lot of trouble with a Samsung printer. It worked just fine with many other operating systems but not with Manjaro.

I have given up and I intend to just buy another printer. I want to know if there is any printer (preferably a cheap laser printer) which is known to work well with manjaro and not give any trouble. I know HP is supposed to work well with Linux in general, but the Samsung printer I am using works fine with other distros, so I don't want to jump the gun.

Please recommend a good printer for Manjaro.

I use a networkprinter: MFC-L2700DW

The printer is equiped with WiFi, a duplex printing unit and a scanner. I can print and scan over the ntework at home with manjaro on 2 laptops and one windows copmuter. The only device that dopesn't work with that printer via the network is my raspberry. There are no drivers available.

Edit: I cant setup the printer with the manjaro printer manager. I had to uninstall the printer manager and use cups to setup the printer in manjaro.
