Ste74, I re-installed your Budgie since you upped it to Stable, and I'm glad. You had a couple of packages I did not that makes the interface feel much "smoother." I also found a couple of tricks...
Post-install & update, if the user also installs package group "gnome-shell" (total about 1.5 MB) you can then boot into GNOME and using Tweak Tool can: A) add minimize/maximize window buttons, B) tweak Nautilus settings--for instance, I like "open with 1-click" and C) other GNOME features like this in Lollypop and probably a few other GNOME applications that put a conf or pref settings in the GNOME top panel. When done, you can logout of GNOME, log back into Budgie and remove "gnome-shell." The settings changes you make will remain.
I also like adding "gnome-session properties" from AUR so I can adjust a few startup services/apps, but that's an individual preference.
