manjaro-i3x-1.02 is ready! :)
« on: 12. May 2015, 01:00:46 »

After the really impressive resonance to the first i3x-ISO with almost 200 downloads in just two days,
here comes manjaro-i3x-1.02 already!

This time available in both 32bit and 64bit and with kernel 3.18 (manjaro-settings-manager is included if you like a different one)
beautiful new gtk-theme |i3-dust| by herbie643
cool new mouse-cursor-theme Chameleon-pearl
flashplayer-plugin
htop
xorg-xkill
additional keyboard-shortcuts for moving to workspaces with focused window and for root-filemanger
tweaked compton config for better readability
"Magic SysRQ" included

fixed:
conky scripts
duplicated i3status.conf > ~/.i3status.conf
virtualbox issue with dmenu
screenshot notification delayed (so it is not visible in the screenshot anymore ;) )
installer Thus recognizing internet connection now since latest update.

Have fun testing! :) I'm looking forward to your feedback!

attaboy Oberon
Tried your first effort in a VB and liked it.
Downloading your  updated version now, looking to replace my trusty old openbox.
Keep up the good work.

Cheers!

Hi oberon,

Thanks for this mate I have it installed already in vbox  ;D , it's looking really good, I am still just finding my feet with this tiling thing though I can see how it has a place/niche in this great distro  ;D 8)

Cheers,
darso.

:D I have actually just started writing a little intruduction beginning: "Welcome! If you haven't used a Tiling Windows Manager before, this might be a bit of a shock... ..."  ;D 8)
I'm extremely curious how this thing will run on different setups. Here I only had the possibility to try the new ISOs on two different laptops from a live stick and in Virtualbox. On one of them I have a strange thing with the wireless-password not being accepted. Apart from that they are running very well and smooth :)

Darso! What are you counting there at the end of your posts? ???  :o

For the advanced tiling experience you can try uncommenting
Code: [Select]
# Configure border style
new_window pixel 2
new_float none
in the config  :o
It just means goobye to window titles which can be confusing when you are working on similar content or different versions of the same files...  8) But I find text kinda floating in the air pretty cool  ;D
