Starting a new spin - RaspberryPi 2
« on: 11. May 2015, 04:49:08 »
Hi,

I like a lot Manjaro and I would like to start a new spin for RaspberryPi 2.
I am a software developer by profession, but new to the activities such as of building an OS for other platforms.
Anyone from the Dev team could give me some pointers how could I start this activity?
I will greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you,
Alex

Manjaro/arch doesn't support officially arm architecture. Take a look at archlinuxarm.org

Hi,

Thanks for help.
I will look at the wiki and see what can I do.
I know the ARM port for Archlinux however I would like to work with one code base when compiling.

All the best,
Alex

I have also considered making a archlinuxarm spin to be a Manjaro-like system. :) I will need to do some more research on how to actually make the Sd card for it. :)
Desktop PC: Manjaro XFCE 15.12 (stable, kernel 4.4)
Private Laptop: Manjaro Strit 16.03 (unstable, kernel 4.6)
Work Laptop: Manjaro Strit 16.03 (stable, kernel 4.4)
Netbook: Arch Linux XFCE/LXqt (i686, kernel 4.0)
