Long time Arch user for my home server, even longer time Linux user - from Australia. I'm new to the forums but I changed to Manjaro maybe last year because I don't have time to go through the install process with Arch. Either way I think the distro is great and suits my needs very well, good job guys!  ;D

Hello from NYC.

I work with Windows, seen the unethical push for Windows 10 first hand and I finally got fed up with it.

Tried OpenSuse Tumbleweed, Ubuntu, and a few others.

So far I love Manjaro, I needed the latest version of Bittorrent Sync and boom there it is.

Hello to every one and Greetings from Guadalajara Mexico, i wan't to mention that i has been a LiGNUx user since 2009 ( i knew about LiGNUx since 1999) but never own a PC to play with new OS's, as newbie i had use debian based distros but since i want more freedom and simplicity i decide this year for this distro, beside a little trouble with the updates everything goes swell, fast and pretty good  8).

Greetings from Sydney, Australia.
I've been 100% (give or take) linux for 7 years now.
found Manjaro through Spatry, and picked up his CoL edition for it a year ago and, if I'll be honest, the idea of being the Ubuntu for Arch really appeals. (without making terrible decisions like unity, ofc)

Only ever had one major problem (last month) Where i literally could not boot/access in any way my manjaro partition.
Every other problem I've had have been small ones, which don't impact anything in any noticeable way (EG; pulse doesn't work, but alsa does - mah current problem)

Uh..
I go by James.
No we don't say G'day, and no, we are not all called Bruce.
The small music scene is really good
Yes we do have a stupid govt right now.
uh... that's all?

Long time Windows user from DOS-based 3.11 to Win7.
Having so many "hidden actions" under the GUI of Windows made me curious for years.

The male to female ratio in my town where I study is like 2/3 to 1/3, so I guess this is the best time to start with Linux.
Manjaro is my distro of choice because I expect it to be lightweight and beginner friendly, while basing on Arch and supporting Xfce.

My cold start begins today and I have no idea where it's going this week *adrenaline rush*

Hi. I have used Manjaro (xfce) on and off for over a year. I am by no means skilled. I am also a Windows  and Ubuntu user here and there. I do like the Manjaro lxqt (latest), and I need some help but will detail that in the lxqt  place in the forum.

Hello. I am not new to linux. Has used Ubuntu, and Debian. Then shifted back to Windows. But now using Manjaro. It has been 2 weeks. Started with LXQT, but seen this JWM - and oh, how much I like it! )

Hello, newcomers!
About LXQt and JWM (this comparison came up several times recently): You can install LXQt and then jwm and some additional packages, pacli, jwm-config, but probably not manjaro-jwm-settings as it will pull some redundant apps as dependencies (not sure about that). Then you would be able to log in not only to LXQt session and Openbox session, but also to JWM session and start tweaking it. You JWM would then run with qt5 applications.

Greetings all.  I'm from NYC/US.  I'm a long time PC user and picking up Linux with a commitment to getting off Windows. The windows update that installs GWX broke 3 clean, working, legit Windows 7 installs. The subsequent troubleshooting session and forced reinstalling was more than infuriating. 

I'm experimenting with several distros (LinuxMint 17.3 Cinnamon/KDE/MATE, KUbuntu 16.04, Ubuntu-MATE 16.04).  However, after viewing Spatry's video "News & Nonsense: Does M$ Really Love Linux?" (May 1st) and reading some ZDNet articles I started looking for distros that aren't connected to Microsoft.  From Spatry's other videos I learned about Manjaro.  So far Manjaro has been the smoothest experience.

Hello All...I'm new to Linux. Tried a variety of Ubuntu distros and also liked the simplicity of Elementary OS. Been using Manjaro KDE for a couple of weeks and looks like it's going to be my distro of choice!

new to Linux. I have ManjaroGome installed, updated all. installed Virtualbox to run multiple manjaro vms. So far so good but...
How do you install "virtualbox additions CD" to get access to features ("drag and drop", "copy paste", and etc...) ?
All the help I can get would be nice.
