LXQt theming
« on: 21. November 2014, 15:33:53 »
i just expanded the theming page on the manjaro wiki:
https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=THEMING
in my opinion, it contains everything there is to theming on LXQt, except the obvious settings for mouse cursor themes, wallpapers, and icons.

do you have any suggestions for it?

edit: i added a lot more examples and paragraphs. now, it feels even more complete.

i have used you as an example, i hope you do not mind.
you just make great themes.

are there any news for a website / "one place" for lxqt themes?
(i have read your lxqt mailing list suggestion on that)

We are working on that, but it is not the high priority right now. First we need a good doumentation for theme makers, then we need the platform.

I have started writing the theme documentation, but it is taking some time.

good to hear there is progress (however slow it might be).

please give me a link to the documentation when you have finished it.

i just saw a new paragraph was added by qanjaro:
https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=THEMING#Theming_A_Pure_Qt4.2F5_System

he mentions a brand new qt5 configuration tool: https://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=18370.0

thanks a lot, qanjaro!

My pleasure. And thanks for editing and adding the qt5ct AUR package; I haven't seen it the last time I've looked for it.

i actually wanted to add the "qt5ct-svn" package from the AUR, but it does not build on my machine. so, i filed a bug report and added the "qt5ct" package to the wiki. it is a little outdated (version 0.4), but works on my system.

i have not tried to install the latest "qt5ct-svn" package, but the author claims to have fixed it: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt5ct-svn/
