Found this when I was looking for a systemd-free distro. Very impressed. Looks great and runs fast on my old P4 laptop, XFCE desktop uses only 150M RAM. Also runs fine on my older Inspiron 8200 that couldn't get to a desktop with anything newer than Ubuntu Precise (just had to use an older kernel that supports the touchpad). And your graphical pacman is much better than Synaptic in my testing so far. Great to see Avidemux, Skype, and Palemoon in the repository too; Debian doesn't have those.

Great work. Thank you!

I had one problem with this install, which I have not had on previous openrc xfce installs.

Upon booting the live install from a USB, the USB drive was recognized as sda, and my hardrive was recognized as sdb.  I was able to get around the problem and complete the install to harddrive by specifying sdb (instead of sda) when defining the / and swap mount points as well as installing grub to sdb.

The install appeared to work, I was able to boot into the newly installed openrc xfce.  However there was one additional problem I discovered when inserting a USB drive; Thunar would not automount USB drives.  After some research, I discovered that /etc/fstab had defined my / and swap mounts as /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdb2.  I changed these to be sda instead and all appears to be ok now, Thunar now automounts USB drives.

This problem did not occur on another install I performed.  The difference in the problematic machine is that its bios treats the USB drive as a separate drive, similar to a CD or floppy drive.  The bios on the machine that did not have the problem treats the USB drive as simply another disk drive and you must choose between the 2 disk drives to boot from.

Thanks for such a wonderful distro, excellent work!

Switched to openbox and love the setup, very polished and clean... am liking the openbox theme too very Green!!! Kept hitting Super + T (old habits). Not sure why you would want updates live, not checked pacman yet.

Great Work  8)

This edition seems to run fine on a very problematic netbook of mine. I only installed palemoon-atom and linux-netbook-manjaro kernel. Let's see how long the netbook stays stable.
However the Openbox session has a problem with removable devices not shown in the file manager: https://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=33755.0

I recently noticed this problem myself, will try out the fix(es) and implement whichever works.

Hi, I just stumbled upon this project  Is it still ongoing or has it been put on an indefinite hiatus?  I'd really like to use it, but there's definitely some bugs that need to be worked out.

Please let me know if any development resumes.  Thanks a lot!
