Sounds to me more like a hardware problem. FWIW, I run the Cinn/Gnome x64-bit
version of MJ and my Fn key-functions are working fine.

I wish that I had a better answer for you...

Install base-devel package set for compiling apps from aur.
Code: [Select]
pacman -S base-devel
Install nvidiabl from aur.

Add sudo modprobe nvidiabl in your autostart script.

Note: You must have sudo without password. Or you can run modprobe nvidiabl as root by hand.

Note2: nvidiabl module should load after X started.

I'll adopt this package to basis repo. I had that same issue on some of my hardware here at work. Should be fixed in our next release. Thanks for the hint hsngrms.

Just found out that you can't use that AUR pkg right away. Install our official packages with:
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -S nvidiabl
Does this driver only work with nvidia driver or also with nouveau? I'd update nvidia-mhwd configs if needed to be installed by default. Will test this at work with the hardware having the same issue ...

I tested it with only nvidia, did't test with nouveau. I'm waiting for your results.

You have to install it manual since I get this on my old GeForce 6150 LE:
Code: [Select]
sudo modprobe nvidiabl
ERROR: could not insert 'nvidiabl': No such device

I'm using Manjaro on VM, using Arch on real machine (All disk partitions used). It doesn't work on VM. Anyone try it, who have a modern nvidia graphics card.
