It's not manjaro though :(
Yeah Arch is very minimal, i don't even installed whole Xorg but 4-5 packages (base, touchpad & keyboard and ati driver) Manjaro is a little bigger because of mhwd, kernels etc.

1239 in my virtualbox install, then again makes sense as i am test bedding some software in manjaro

Oh i dindn't changed this.. give me a sec.. better  now  :P I use KDE @Arch now (i just can't use one distro/desktop for more than a week).

Gotta love pacman for being able to remove dependences I don't need. One of the reasons I may not like Debian systems. But I do respect Debain for what it is and I can deal with the pros and cons of Debian when I give it a shot on a netbook should I buy one at my local computer store. I could do a better job of skimming it down. But I'm happy to where I'm at.

On my 32 bit laptop running KDE is 974
I was expecting it to be well over 1000
On my 64 bit desktop running XFCE is 1056
