[lxqt] Equivalent of catfish in Qt ?
« on: 21. June 2014, 23:56:29 »
Hi all  :)

Catfish is  gtk dependent :

Code: [Select]
Dépend de             : gtk3  python2-gobject  python2-xdg  xdg-utils
                        python2-pexpect

I search one in Qt. It must only not be Kde-dependent.

If somebody knows one, thanks by advance.  ;)

PCManFM-Qt will have a simple built-in file searching utility
See: Accessories, Find files

Earlier versions of Searchmonkey are still available - prior to version 2.0 Searchmonkey used the GTK toolkit, but development has switched to Qt for current releases. In addition, you can download the full Source Code (ZIP file). In addition, many Linux versions exist, for example Ubuntu users can install Searchmonkey directly from the Universe repository. Fedora users can find pre-compiled RPM packages. FreeBSD users will find Searchmonkey built into the standard package management system.

BTW:

I found Searchmonkey and recoll in this list last edited 25 days ago:

Thanks to both.  ;) SearchMonkey is not bad at all :

Recoll is good also, but complex, and it's database too big. SearchMonkey is more user-friendly.

Strigi is a KDE applet, excluded ? I will try...

Code: [Select]
Dépend de             : dbus  exiv2  libxml2  bzip2
Dépendances opt.      : kdegraphics-strigi-analyzer: strigi analyzers for
                        various graphics file
kdesdk-strigi-analyzer: strigi analyzer for KDE SDK
