(Resolved) LXQt and VirtualBox
« on: 28. June 2014, 15:07:39 »
Having a couple problems running this as a guest. First of all I tried auto-mounting a shared folder and that doesn't seem to work. Normally in most Linux guests I've installed there is a /Media directory which doesn't exist in Manjaro. The other problem is, in the computer:/// directory I do have a VBoxCD-Rom and VBOX HARDDISK listed but if I double click either of them I get a not a valid directory message. So first, is the error message normal? And do I have to manually mount shared folders?

TIA

Hi,

Personally, I declare  a shared folder, for example Desktop, and I mount it :

Code: [Select]
sudo mount -t vboxsf Desktop /mnt
after, I can exchange through /mnt. But to write in it, you must me root.

there doesn't seem to be a -t option for sudo

that works. thank you. I'm going to look into mounting it automatically at boot without root needed but this works for now.
