Esclapion are you in contact with the LXQT folks?  Or do you know where bugs should be reported?  Just found out pcmanfm-qt doesn't care for Buuf.  Icon set uses mainly 128x128 pixel icons and pcmanfm isn't scaling them in the main window.

That drag and drop menu in pcmanfm is pretty annoying too.  And the "Do you really want to log out" popup.

Also any idea what's needed to get conky to display?  Got it:
Code: [Select]
own_window_class Conky
own_window_argb_visual no

Getting some artifacts on the network icon.

Hi LCJr,  :)

Look at the link, in the OP. There is something about bug report.

I'm on the mailing list, but I use only it for blocking problems, It's not done for that.

How much RAM is eating?

It's not especially optimized for that now. In VBox, with the 32 bits, I use :

thus, 124 Mo.

i agree.

in my opinion, there are still some setting options missing, e.g. to turn off the log out popup and other stuff. but this desktop is not finished yet.

at this point, i am not going to install it on my main system, but i am going to follow the development closely in the future - it is a really interesting project and i definitely share their mindset.

For the bad init of qupzilla, a simple solution :

Code: [Select]
rm -rf .config/qupzilla
It must solve definitively the problem. May be, I will change it with an opening on manjaro.org.

For the necessary pacman -Syy, who must be currentlly necessary for all distros now, two solutions :
- suppress the PhilM optimization about suppressing pacman databases, and I lose few Mo ;
- discuss with Arnt about that.

all DE have that, no ? It asks for confirmation, it's all.

What exactly do you want ?

yes. all DEs have that.

i would like a settings option to turn the confirmation dialogue off.
this cannot be achieved by you, though. it must be implemented into lxqt.

OK. In xfce, I have two dangerous button to do that. Left for reboot, and right for shutdown, without confirmation.

May be I can create a shortcut in the taskar for reboot ?

For Qupzilla, not solved. I will have a look on the Net.

Installed latest 64 bit iso.  And since I had previous version, it meets expectation.
And I again think it's very suitable for most linux beginners and for slightly advanced users needing some less bloated DE.
(I think Enlightenment is creeping to be more bloated, Elementary is not minimal;  and...openbox, fluxbox, awesome, etc is only suitable for more advanced users)

So, thanks again.

Oh, PcManFM.
Still no single-click?
It's available in PcManFM of other Manjaro's DE.
Why not in LXQT?

ps: have to manually put numlock in .xprofile
autologin is fine.

And why not linux313 instead of 312? Not an issue, just asking.
Personal opinion - confirmation for shutdown/reboot is fine and should be default. But there must be a way to disable that.

Thanks for the test.

Answer for the single-click (PCMan) :

Quote
Oops!
I forgot to hide that option.
It does not work at the moment.
While it's very easy to enable single click, it's not as easy to
handle hover-selection.
If items are activated on click, then we need other ways to select them.
Qt has no built-in support for selecting items on hover.
So I need to implement this myself for all kinds of item view, which
is more than trivial.
I'll do it later.

Thus, demand done.

For numlock, I can easily add it, but with wich value : on or off ?

Qupzilla is a good browser, and qt based, but it has this problem on unstable initialization, and its git version refers to kde-wallet, that I do not want for the moment.

Arora doesn't work, and is orphaned since several years.

So, for the moment, I think to replace qupzilla by midori.

qupzilla-qt5 ?

I skipped it, because of 0 votes.

I tried now : 105 Mo* to install, and same initialization problem.

(edit)
*14,7 Mo installed, but I dont know what it adds.

Why not icecat ?

(re-edit)
I do a try with icecat

How much RAM is eating?

64-bit with Nvidia drivers.  Shows ~350-360 Mb in conky.  ~330 Mb with ps_mem.  edit> That's on actual hardware not a vm.

For numlock, I can easily add it, but with wich value : on or off ?
I think you want off.  They were discussing that for Openbox and what I got out of it was having it on by default screws with laptops.
