@tomq: you refering to pacman-gui. Did you test Octopi yet? Pamac will be always our default graphical package manager. Octopi is a nice alternative. You might like it better.

Pamac 0.6-series will be still based on libalpm 4.0.3. This means we will keep Pacman 4.0.3 a little longer.
With Pamac 0.7-series we will adopt to libalpm 4.1-series. This means we will patch Pacman 4.1 also with some extra features Manjaro-Linux needs, like the SyncFirst option. We will realize that need with our own code not to mess with upstreams libalpm code.
So we will be still 100% compatible with Archlinux.

Indeed the feature is a must for Manjaro. Is "manjaro-system" included in this option currently? (I can't check now as I'm in office)
Why doing it yourself when manjaro-system can do it for you?

manjaro-system is using SyncFirst option. We might even implement it to pacman and pamac directly. It is one of the features, making our updates so easy.

Small suggestion for pamac-manager. It will be nice if allservers.sh could be integrated to the interface of the progam. By default script wasn`t there so i searched wiki. Now i use a bash alias to use the script. IMO it will be better to have all features like mirrorranking and aur updates in to pamac-manager.

Quote from: Guillaume
I'm also testing pacman 4.1 and libalpm 0.6. As far as I tested it, it does not break pamac, only minor adjustments will be needed ;)

... which is good news. We might ship pacman 4.1-series soon.

In testing and unstable we uploaded pamac 0.6.1 which fixes minor translation issues and adds Greek.
