personally i like not to much automatic remove things, its hard to be safe on removal ;)

you want removal so make friendly as possibly but personall still you can remove what you dont want...

i have installed Mate, so im bussy on removing gnome dependcies.. i remove mayby some icons of it also.. it remove also whole or part of the Mate-desktop ;)

if i remove Xfce, it removes the Lxdm also, that is not what i want...

think better to have more control in Pamac! if you remove parts..

and if parts needed..., it must give a menu first on my idea :)
like on up text:

Cant resolve depencies remove this depencies? :
you get a list where you can choose it wat would be a gonner..
then on the second part it comes shows a list what will be removed..,

personal needs more control in Pamac :)

dont wanna make you angry about it :), its just my idea... to take more control in it..if you dont read the removal you can do worse,
its not that al users this do on this way remove whole Xfce, but you must see as an option, :)

dont know who others think about it?

I'm glad to hear that the basics working now. Have to play with it a little more, but I think we are getting there.

I used pamac for installing some libreoffice packages:
I filled the search textbox with "libreoffice"
I checked (explicit install) libreoffice-fr libreoffice-gnome libreoffice-writer
pamac opened a dialog box (without any cancellation button) and asked for selecting the language pack I already selected!
if I perform the same actions with pacman (sudo pacman -S libreoffice-fr libreoffice-gnome libreoffice-writer), no issue is encountered
Why doing it yourself when manjaro-system can do it for you?

The current pamac-tray is a very first implementation and is more an example than a real app.
For now it only check updates when the app is launched so it's not very useful. That's why it was not annouced.
Developpement in progress..

Pamac is only a gui, in a terminal use pacman.

Ok , but how come thiese work from Terminal :

pamac-manager
pamac-tray
pamac-updater

Might not be as Pacman commands but it works .
