i had install virtualbox  with pacman, but when i do refreshing button, the installed dont come over :) in green .., it came in green when  i just push in another menu and looking back to virtualbox...

shell do some BREAK actions :

i remove linux37-virtualbox-hostmodules...

i get some transaction  summary,    and further some blanc window .. i go further i go to enter my password  then i gets that message :), but further the programm still working after that ....

i did expecting only if i want delete its must say Virtualbox its needing...,  you could always say must rvirtualbox remove to also? Y or N ..... or its must just stops with : virtualbox need program then push on window close button or something :)

with skype-oss also; its want installing linux34-header without asking when you have two kernels..  i like a backup kernel :)  but  te point is only it must asking when it detecting some kernels...

this is a bug :)

Thx ringo32, you're a good tester :)
I already know that handle multiple provides is not supported yet and I didn't expect someone to find it so fast !
I will implement it but it's a complicated work, especially with kernel modules.

Departing quite a bit from the "Bug va/on Pamac" topic ???, I think the only thing Pamac needs now is a pacman -Scc button and a pacman -Rs $(pacman -Qqdt) button (or whatever was meant at http://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Orphan_Package_Removal ). that - and more "compatibility" with Oxygen-gtk3 .

  • Surely, someday someone might ask you for a Ubuntu Software Centre-esque GUI. But for now, please live as if that not going to happen....or as if somebody else is going to do that (i.e. MATE's founder).

i think this option arent now in order...its more important the instaling part and depencies handling it stay stable, after that you always go evolving to muchmore... pamac is not ready for that extra option, it can made quick but problem is you can get multiple bugs as wel :) work first on comfort ;)

I've just changed the mirror (mycraft is down)
But you're right the message is not clear enough
Why doing it yourself when manjaro-system can do it for you?

I just finished pamac 0.3.2.
It now handles "provides" and does it smarlty: if the needed "provide" is a kernel module (like virtualbox-host-modules) it should automatically choose the modules for the already installed kernels. This way pamac is smarter than pacman !
It should be available soon in unstable repo.

For the next version I planned to had a tray to pamac.

I got it!
I've just start my laptop, run updater from menu:
  • empty message box ??? (updating dbs + searching for updates I guess)
  • 3 updates were suggested, included pamac itself
Updating pamac firstly should be safer shouldn't it?

Other test: I unplugged my ethernet cable
No error at all.
If this is a good point for the 1st attempt (when updater is launched)
Having a message "no mirror was reached" (or something like that) would be nice when refresh is performed manually
