It took us a while to fix and adjust some themes to get another great KDE edition out there. Here is our latest developer build as preview.
Followed fixes to mention:
  • fixed some issues with amdgpu driver and mhwd
  • using now udpated maia themes with matching icons and cursor
  • for GTK3 Adwaita theme is used as a workaround
  • latest calamares installer with luks support added
  • using unstable branch

I'm loving the unified look-and-feel.

So polish. Much nice.

@jonathon: it would be great if we start to update our beginners guide. Also adding Calamares instalation instructions to it. In regard of style and features we should be already there. Calamares development is in a delay cos of the luks feature. We will see if we make it for that. Other than that we are almost in the RC state ...

'LLo,

Manjaro-settings-manager integrated in global plasma configuration is at least very "user-friendly", well done !

'LLo,

Is something like an apply button missing in MSM integrated with KDE or is it the normal KDE way of doing -> close the windows then apply ?

yeah, there is maybe a missing apply button for the time and date settings. there is one for the keyboard and locale, but not for the time and date, and also the "reset" option is missing compared to the 2 others.

In the other hand, time/date settings is already present elsewhere not so far in KDE configuration ?

Another rebuild of this ISO is needed to make luks work. I worked close with Teo together to get 2.3-alpha1 ready. This is also the first ISO supporting full encryption with Calamares. A video to showcase this will follow.

:) Loving these features. That's great that Manjaro team is implementing these security features. It is a shame that I already installed the system. I'll see if I can find a great backup tool so, I can implement luks in my pc.
