Downloading this now to test it out. I have an older AMD 64 with the NVIDIA N-force chipset and gpu based desktop that refuses to work with Plasma 5's compositor, both the free and non-free drivers. I also prefer QT to GTK so if this works well on that old machine, I will be very, very happy. ;)

Congratulations and thanks. I have tested every version you have made and I will be testing this out also.
However, I won't be getting back to you anytime soon as I will be out of the country for 2 weeks, a week of which I will be out at sea.
Hope I can remember when I get back.

It's a bit a joke (i have w10 in dual-boot for games). Wallpaper, theme, icons, and also mouse pointers are w10 like, i used a part of the "transformation pack".

It allows us to compare speed and size of both.  ;D

(edit)

I only darkened slightly the w10 white who was FFFFF and tiring for the eyes.

sometimes, there are little problems with the coloring of the theme, e.g. in the calendar (when you click on the clock) or in the terminal (when using yaourt), but these kinds of problems are common and can be solved by using other themes.

overall, a great release.
it is definitely user friendly.

i actually enjoy the wallpaper really much, it is makes such great fun about win10...

currently, i am testing the next version of pcmanfm-qt. it is becoming much better and finally, i do not think anymore it is inferior in comparison to thunar.

I'm on live CD now and very pleased with the look, too!
Here is my feedback in chronological order:
- boot takes quite long, 2:10 for MHWD live script; checked Xorg.0.log and found only these lines which I don't get on other ISOs (if I remember correctly)
Code: [Select]
[   164.573] (WW) The directory "/usr/share/fonts/Type1/" does not exist.
[   164.573] Entry deleted from font path.
[   164.573] (WW) `fonts.dir' not found (or not valid) in "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi/".
[   164.573] Entry deleted from font path.
[   164.573] (Run 'mkfontdir' on "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi/").
[   164.573] (WW) `fonts.dir' not found (or not valid) in "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi/".
[   164.573] Entry deleted from font path.
[   164.573] (Run 'mkfontdir' on "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi/").
[   164.573] (==) FontPath set to:
/usr/share/fonts/misc/,
/usr/share/fonts/TTF/,
/usr/share/fonts/OTF/
- boot ends with a mouse cursor appearing while the boot messages are still visible - kind of cool, though
- no Manjaro Welcome, probably it never was there on your ISOs

- white lxterminal; I would prefer back qterminal
- leafpad - there is juffed-qt5-git in AUR, maybe not yet ready
- menu: I prefer a single logout dialog
- the window theme is to glaring white for my taste (Win10 mock up? Yes, it is. The whole theme block is called Krosoft. ;))
- I always replace Chromium by Qupzilla

A lot of things, thanks.  ;) I answer only to :

1) my boot is very fast instead, live or installed. Do you use the default vbox options ?

2) for the color :

in /usr/share/themes/Krosoft :

2.1) change #f8f8f8 to something else in the whole line gtk-color-scheme of gtk-2.0/gtkrc
2.2) do the same in the whole file openbox-3/themerc

(edit)
you also change the color of lxterminal in the options, what i did also by default.

the krosoft value was ffffff. I hesitated between f8f8f8 and f0f0f0 for my iso.  ::)

I'm really enjoying this so far. Two things I've noticed so far.
1: You ship with chromium as the browser but have Firefox listed under default applications for browser.
2: octopi-notifier-frameworks is installed and looks a bit out of place, octopi-notifier-qt5 would have a more native look on it's right click menu.

I'm still playing with this but so far I really like it.

Thanks for the feedback.  :)

1) difficult to do, because 64 comes with chromium and 32 with firefox. Will think.

2) changed now, tx again.  ;)
