alsa is always used. pulseaudio comes on the top alsa. If you will have it, install manjaro-pulse and (optional) pavucontrol.

This wifi manager is NetworkManager, the most used on all distros and all DEs (on xfce also).

octopi symbol is red,  so you have an update to do.

Open the terminal, and type :

Code: [Select]
sudo pacman-mirrors -g
sudo pacman -Syyu

My main install is under this ISO, so no idea of what happens for you. We are during the holidays, so your ISP has maybe problems (as mine  ;)).

Usually the style gets tweaked from one version to next. For example I liked an older version of Openbox, so I installed the older version, and then updated it. The update didn't do anything to the old desktop theme and my personal tweaks, but the apps of course are uptodate now.

I had the same issue, when trying to install from the shortkey on the desktop it fails. But installing from the menu entry it works fine. A little weird.

My advise is to try to install the 0.8.13 version, or compare the package lists of LXQt 0.8.12 and 0.8.13. I mean, earlier there were some issues with LXQt having KDE dependencies and beeing not that lightweight.
My strongest advise is to try CLI installer. That is not harcore command line, you simply have to choose your drive, partition, file system

Hai, just installed brandnew LXQt 0.9 and it looks and feels great . BUT (notice the BIG but!) when I start the initial update via sudo pacman -Syu (and Syyu as well) after a while it gives me an ERROR message and refuses to finish the update:
key "DAD3B211663CA268" could not be looked up remotely

And then it tells me in German that the needed key is missing from keyring and no packets have been updated.  :o

Already tried: sudo pacman -s archlinux-keyring but to no avail. So HELLLP!!!! What am I sposed to do now?? Anybody knows a nifty trick for me to get out of this pickle?

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Is it me or is xarchiver a GTK3 application. Is there no Qt application that can take its place?

Replaced by engrampa, but no good Qt archiver fr the moment.  ;)

Aside from Ark which would pull in all of the KF5 or KDE4 depending on the version chosen. There is xarchiver-gtk2 in the repos so that is usable as well.
