https://github.com/BurntSushi/openbox-multihead/blob/multihead/README.MULTIHEAD
I saw the part about "price to pay" and was leary. I would like to see more native multihead support as i usually run 3 monitors, but i jut use nvidia nonfree and havent had a problem. Part of me likes the idea, but some wierd part in the back of my head yells "don't beak conventions and assumptions".

I just installed this edition. Seems good, works really fine. I got some things to install, I think I'll got it working in about 5 hours.

Total Download Size:    534.31 MiB
Total Installed Size:  2296.07 MiB

That's the size of the update. I can live with it. I hope not to find any issues after the upgrade. I will also be testing JWM version next week and choose one of them.

It would be good to see your assessment of the two versions after you try JWM, probably in another thread given that this is getting a bit off topic.

I performed the upgrade. Everything is working excellent but styles are broken. Firefox and Conky are so different compared with the original version. I think I'll have to configure them manually. I have installed plenty of software and everything is working as expected.

The main issue now is that Conky's transparency is not working event though transparency parameter is set to true. Also Firefox's styles are failing. It's like when you are using XFCE with Menda Black or some black theme and the text boxes styles do not correspond with system style.

I'll let you know if I find something wrong.

I'm having performance issues with this distribution. After more or less 30 minutes of use, memory and cpu use goes up to 90% of use. It never happened under basic use, I was just running QBittorrent (downloading manjaro jwm :p ) and a terminal (for qbittorrent launch).

Anyone else is having performance issues?

@mauro.s: It's the conky. oberon made a comment on it earlier in the thread https://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=23941.msg214348#msg214348, but it was not solved until the 0.8.13 release.

I remembered the problem as soon as I saw the conky in your screenshot (from my favorite theme, but an early dev release in the series). I believe that that there were at least three versions after that before Holmes turned to JWM: Codes 12715, 15715 and 05815 (in that order), together with a number of changes in the conky.

Holmes's announcement of 0.8.13: https://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=24486.0 has code for a revised conky which does not kill the cpu. It was revised (note edit on Holmes's announcement) based on the back and forth with lightbeam and oberon further down in the announcement. You can try editing the conkyrc you have to fix the problem, or use the less elaboborate conky from 0.8.13 by simply copying the code there.

i have a suspicion...
run "pstree | grep xdg-open" to confirm
in various configs (.bashrc, etc/environment) is the line "BROWSER=/usr/bin/xdg-open" with causes a runaway thread eating up resources
"killall xdg-open" became a very common command from me until i purged all configs of that line
