programming for next iso tests:

=> applications:

- Geany + Medit
- Firefox + Midori
- Deadbeef + Audacious
- xfce4-appfinder + gmrun

obs .: - removal + addition

=> menu:

menu reorganizing
added pepi-menu places
added pepi-menu recent
added client-list-menu
the menu structure is manual  (total freedom)

=> general

adequacy of conky (thanks @oberon for the tips!)
grub image modification
modification of the xlock command

i will be soon releasing a new iso for testing... ;)

While i am no fan of dark themed distros I do have to say, THIS IS AMAZING!

The conky is large and noticable but not overbearing as to be a distraction.  It's clean and relevent as well as the distro overall is the same.

You should be well proud of your efforts.

Congrats and thank you for make a visually appealing and relevant distro of openbox that is ready to work with little need for customization on behalf of the user.  Woot!

Beautiful! If my VIA Eden thin client with VIA VX800 chipset could only boot Manjaro (it can only boot Ubuntu derivatives with "xforcevesa" cheatcode, or Wary Puppy, or SliTaz), I definetly would install your openbox creation on it.

hi @Lizbeth1, thanks for the comments. about conky, i'm thinking about changing. if i get to work on this with the new rules of conky OK; otherwise i will change the conky with a simpler.

hello @eugen-b, but perhaps test Works.. ;)

@eugen-b,
boot up to prompt (add '3' (no quotes) to linux line of grub)
check what driver is available (mhwd -l)
check what driver is installed (mhwd -li)
remove that driver (mhwd -r pci <that driver>)
install vesa driver (mhwd -i pci video-vesa)
reboot

note - some commands as root.

Congrats and thanks for this release, Holmes.

@eugen-b, BTW, nomodeset and xforcevesa won't work too for Ubuntu and others if kernels newer than....er, 3.5? maybe some 3.8?
Can you confirm their kernels?
ps: I had one remastered iso at 3.5-something so I can boot this (usb) everywhere and I remaster this iso on the fly if there's some upgrades (not kernel).
So I know this won't apply for newer kernels.

@Holmes, I'll try I promise!
@gohlip, I tried old Buntus (based on 12.04.) and newer ones as well (based on 14.04.). Peppermint 6 has Kernel 3.16 and starts with xforcevesa (nomodeset is not needed, however).
Thanks for your tips, but I don't really know how to boot to prompt. I did some search, but it seems to be such an obvious think that nobody would explain it. Where do I have to add 3, in boot parameters where I would otherwise add xforcevesa? Will the trick with changing video driver work on a live USB?

Awesome job Holmes, by far the best Manjaro OpenBox ever!!!

I am sure you will be more careful regarding the checksums in your upcoming iso release. There is nothing wrong with the checksums themselves in your
current iso , they work perfectly allright, I checked all four of them. It is just they all claim to be for the x86-64 iso and it can be a bit confusing to some.
When will it be in the official Manjaro community downloads so we can install it in our systems after the VB install?

Way to go man!!! :)
