i got no wi-fi connection, but my net card is detected correctly: intel 7260. It will be better if connman will be pinned in panel. I see its logo only if I start it via menu/internet/cmst. Can not install and test it without a net connection.

Ok but how about the rest? There's no wi-fi network available when trying to connect to net.  The list is empty.

Try installing qconnman-git (AUR) but it works for me without.

I tried now. If you set the wifi from off to on and wait 10", a list of available comes.

I've waited much more. If I press Rescan, I get "We received a DBUS reply message indicating an error while trying to scan technologies. Error name: net.connman.Error.NoCarrier

Do you have a modem or a box ?

There's nothing on second window. Windows 8.1 finds more than 8 wi-fi network connections available of my neighbours  also)

detected doesn't mean it works.
in terminal  try

#iwconfig

(in my setup wireless card is wlp12s0 so)

#iwlist wlp12s0 scanning

still no networks?

I'm really excited about this spin, I think lxqt and its simplicity could be a good option in the near future for PCs with low HW specs.
Thanks

Testing 32bit version in live-usb session:

    1. There is something wrong with fonts. Even if I change size, they don't fit. I will investigate later.
    2. 'Wifi' shortcut on desktop (pointing to cmst) would be handy, not only for beginners.
Some people would still use gnome network manager (nm-applet) because of sharing or 3G/4G modem connections.
    3. Coursor theme is inconsistent (try to grab corner in order to resize).
    4. Missing tools.
No bittorent? Someone please confirm that search engine works in Qbittorrent? (python2 dependent). If not we have transsmission-qt.
Calculator? I understand speedcrunch is broken in Arch, let stick with galculator for now.
CD burner? There is no reasonable qt app. Xfburn then.
    5. Media players - mvp for films but what about music? qmmp is cool lightweight music player with eq, scrobbler etc.
(I don't like mvp. I use mplayer2 binary without gui on my machines, even on MS windows)
    6. Web browser. This is very personal choice. I dont see many changes in qupzilla between 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 1.8 versions. Still crashes.
    7. Software choice - Qt vs GTK.
(I built gtk-free kde-free LXQt desktop on top of Net install however it's not complete. See 'favourite qt apps' thread)
I dont mind gtk2 apps on qt based desktop, they integrate well. The problem is, developers switch to gtk3.
I would not tolerate file-roller or evince (both very good apps) on my install simply because I can't stand gtk3 interface (I'm fine with nm-pplet).
I'm glad to see xarchiver and qpdfview instead. Leafpad, lximage can be replaced with qt apps but there is no need at this point.
Qterminal is my favourite qt emulator (split view!). However something wrong with coursor and after changing fonts can't change again.
HD-Installer is gtk3 but it's meant to be used only once  ;)  I will use cli version anyway. Lightdm to be replaced with sddm.
Most people migrating from lxde will miss pcmanfm 1.x features (dual pane view and file search). Shame pcmanfm-qt is compiled against old sources.

@petrea on some laptops, even with dual boot, I have to use the Fn+FX shortcut to deactivate/activate Wifi (replace X with the number), and only then, I can find and connect to APs. You may try that too, not just "soft-off/soft-on" it.

Take a closer look to dmesg messages regarding WiFi. You may have to install additional packages (firmware maybe ?).

@mt12345 : a vanilla contains only what is strictly necessary, it's not a fully configured ISO. More as a Net-Edition+. So, the user can install what he will.

Maybe later we will do a complete. ;)

    like flashplugin?  ;)

well after installing user can do anything.
I was actually thinking about live-cd mode - since iso has proprietary wifi drivers, codecs and flash it just need few more pieces to become full-size live-cd distro.

anybody experienced fonts/theme problem? I'll try it on different PC

    1) I did the cursor and I don't see anything wrong your describing on my plasma 5

    2) I made a qtbittorrent-qt5-git and put on the aur https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qbittorrent-qt5-git/

    3) For a music player i use cantata https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cantata-svn/

cant reproduce the cursor bug, however fonts are one line trimmed from top (eg. clock in panel).
thanks for qbittorrent link, still cant install search engines plus there is problem in program layout but thats topic for separate thread.
cantata or clementine are fantastic but I think qmmp fits better in lightweight distro.
I was wrong about lximage: it is qt not gtk. I was thinking about qpicview apparently.
I was wrong about speedcrunch: it is not broken - the keypad got removed in latest version.

flashplugin can be removed, yes. xscreensaver also.

Else, same opinion for Cantata, very good.

The only problem I face with flashplayer is that videos platforms supporting HTML5 now launch videos automatically, where you had click-to-play feature with plugins :D

I installed the 32bit iso in virtualbox and this is what happened.

Running from the ISO, the panel loaded, but there were missing icons/question mark type looking icons near the clock (bottom right). I did install it on the virtualdrive, i rebooted it, ejected the drive, logged in, and only got the wall paper with no panel or "start" menu.

    that's because html5 is not a  plugin.

anyway modern flashblockers can block both flash and html5 videos.

Operation not possible due to RF-kill
Some errors appear when live cd boots. That's strange because xfce and kde works fine.

Operation not possible due to RF-kill
this is usually 'wireless switch error' and disabling then enabling wireless in bios usually helps (or reset bios to defaults )
but if you say it works fine in xfce, there is something wrong with lxqt-manjaro build (iwlwifi drivers?).
    did you try Net edition?

I cant help you any further, I use 4965 chipset (iwlegacy drivers)

i am playing around with this latest lxqt (64bit) release on my liveUSB sometimes, must say i like it. and i like the usage of openbox.
    one thing i noticed:

QupZilla crashes constantly (mostly when its minimized in panel and i work with something different)
I would even go so far as to say that this browser is unusable as main browser (on liveusb, will try on fresh install soon)

at the moment, every theme in lxqt brings its own wallpaper. this means the wallpaper changes when you change the theme.

we have thought about having the manjaro or a manjaro lxqt wallpaper (i have actually build an iso file with opik16's wallpaper), but this will not last long.
as soon as anex updates his menda-lxqt-panel theme the wallpaper will be replaced with the default wallpaper.
therefore, we just use the default wallpaper.

Yesterday I've installed the new 32b iso on my little Asus Eee PC and all works fine except time and date. And it's impossible to change them. This issue is present in every iso since November.
And I'm waiting for a new 64b iso to install it on my Acer. There are two things I'm waiting to find on manjaro-lxqt: a network connection and full touchscreen support.

Also the new version is nice, but previous version seems to be a little bit better and more stable (apart from pcmanfm). After installing and testing a few minutes pcmanfm and qupzilla crashes some times.

Dual monitor setting isn't saved (worked in previous) and also mouse / trackball speed have to be set again after boot.
Some clicks to quick launcher apps seems to be ignored (click twice to get it open).

So previous version seems to be more stable, but again a great theme (wallpaper, icons, ...).

    Update
Some reboots and apply / save monitor settings later...
dual monitor setup is working now... :)

we have made some changes and will install firefox on the default 64bit version in the future.
personally, i do miss some features in pcmanfm-qt. this is the reason i use another file manager.

Some clicks to quick launcher apps seems to be ignored (click twice to get it open).
this is a problem i am having for all lxqt versions. i never found out how to solve this bug. i think it has something to do with the duration of animations, because i can install kwin and set animation speed to "instant". then, i still have to double click some icons on the panel, but not as often as before anymore.

So previous version seems to be more stable, but again a great theme (wallpaper, icons, ...).
this release uses the lxqt 0.8 STABLE packages. the previous manjaro lxqt used the latest git packages of lxqt.
this should mean less features, but more stability for the latest manjaro lxqt image.

I've been using qupzilla the past few days and its been really reliable for me. Running on Stable on one computer and Unstable on another. I do prefer Firefox so I welcome making that default but wouldn't complain if qupzilla stayed either.
