Title: Kvantum on LXQt
Post by: Esclapion on 16. April 2016, 12:26:47
As this tool (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Kvantum?content=166241) is done by tsujan, a developper of lxqt, i think it can be interesting to have a look on it.

But I search everywhere a tutorial, video, explanations.  ;D

I use kvantum tools, styles and colorschemes on my Plasma 5 setup. It is very nice and configurable. I have had no issues using it for Plasma 5, and it "should" work for LXqt, but may require KDE System Settings to implement fully. Kvantum is in the AUR.

Best regards.

i am installing it from the AUR.
can you tell me a little bit about what packages from the AUR are required and what packages are optional?

i can test your theory about kde system settings, because i am using lxqt + kwin + systemsettings at the moment...

p.s.: i also have not seen any kde dependencies yet.

Only qt5-x11extras  and qt5-svg are necessary. Pre-compiled packages for Arch (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/metakcahura/Arch_Extra/) are available.

I have kvantum-tools-qt5-svn, qt4-style-kvantum-svn, qt5-style-kvantum-svn, and kvantum-kde-colorschemes installed. I don't think there are any KDE dependencies other than System Settings to apply kvantum.

The qt5-style-kvantum-svn has the following dependencies:

 - qt5-base (already installed)
 - qt5-svg (already installed)
 - qt5-x11extras (already installed)
 - libxext (already installed)
 - subversion (already installed) [makedepend]
 - gawk (already installed) [makedepend]
 - make (already installed) [makedepend]
 - gawk (already installed) [makedepend]
 - grep (already installed) [makedepend]
 - sed (already installed) [makedepend]
 - findutils (already installed) [makedepend]

Best regards.

I'm using this in my lxqt desktop along with Glare Theme http://sixsixfive.deviantart.com/art/Glare-494114516 (http://sixsixfive.deviantart.com/art/Glare-494114516) (also on aur)

It's a complete Dark or light theme: lxqt, kvantum, gtk, openbox,....And you can choose your colour scheme when installing
