Title: changing mirrors + updating mirror list ---> multilib hangs
Post by: LAZA on 09. April 2016, 15:05:05
Hai,

since some days the servers are a bit slow and not up-to-date...
so i choose the switch from worldwide to Germany (country is not relevant), clicked on "update mirror list" - and then this starts, but never finishes...

The last message i get is "refreshing multilib" (Auffrischen von multilib, one "f" is missing! in the translation)  >:D
Then i can wait some minutes but this never finishes.
Tried other countries, same effect, - screenshot is attached.

Manjaro 15.12 with Pamac 3.2.1-1

Thanks in advance
LAZA

P.S.: It would be nice not to be limited to a single country but also have the option "Europe" or North/South/East/West/Central Europe.

In think I saw some message about this kind of problem few weeks ago in the forum.  When pamac got updated.
Not sure it was exactly the same.  Maybe someone else will remember better than me.  It was pamac issue I think

I have the same problem with you but after many tests I realized that the updates normally carried despite the freezing.
If there are updates pamac will show you.  :)

Yes, updates work - but nonetheless not a good behaviour.
Some more will be irritated about this... (i think)

Edit: maybe not as your screenshot show an abort button  :o

I found 2 other closed issue report.
https://github.com/manjaro/pamac/issues/111 (https://github.com/manjaro/pamac/issues/111)
https://github.com/manjaro/pamac/issues/108 (https://github.com/manjaro/pamac/issues/108)
it say it should be resolved in the version 3.2-1 but it's the version you have.. so I don't know
