Title: First update failed
Post by: HankB on 03. April 2016, 03:22:20
Hi folks,
I installed manjaro-xfce-15.12-x86_64.iso and was pleased when it popped up an update notification at the first login. :D After waiting for what seemed like ages for some 345 packages to download I was presented with

:(

I googled about a bit and found the following command:
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman-key --refresh-keysIt failed too complaining about something called 'dirmngr'. Eventually I figured out that I had to run 'dirmngr' as root
Code: [Select]
sudo dirmngr and in another window
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman-key --refresh-keysand the missing key situation was resolved. All of the updates installed. (There was a warning about a circular dependency or something like that but it did not prevent the rest of the update from completing.)

I'm left wondering if this is going to be persistent or will self correct or if there is further action I should take.

Thanks!

I had the same problem.  Alexandre Arnt (aarnt) on github.com suggested running the following commands:

pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring manjaro-keyring
pacman -Syu

These worked perfect for me.
