Title: Want to Install Budgie DE Alongside Manjaro-Fluxbox
Post by: Rocky-IV on 10. January 2016, 02:09:24
          Hello fellow Budgie users

I'd like to address this post mainly to Ste74 if possible.
Are there any pre-cautions needed before installing (Budgie Desktop Enviroment) to an existing running Manjaro Fluxbox.
I know that pacman -S can be used for installation. Should I install the standard Budgie Package or git version of Budgie.
Am i best to install the standard Budgie Package and then update to git version of Budgie.
Or can I just directly install git Budgie edition directly.

Which login window enviroment does Budgie need and would it conflict with current Fluxbox login

Thanks for your feedback

I can only comment on the login manager. You should be able to use whatever you want there. As for edition, I think someone will come by very soon.

Hi..you can use all dm what  you want. In my ISO used lightdm because gdm at fresh install not. Recognize budgie.you can install budgie from our repo but only with 10.2.2-2 the nm-applet show in the panel.if this version is not in stable you can download form pur unstable repo.
After that i think no problem to add budgie at fluxbox but remember for simply manage budgie install also. Gnome tweak tools
