Title: Dropbox and Megasync integration with Thunar
Post by: Zeffanyx on 13. January 2015, 12:40:14
Hi guys,
Please share some knowledge about right-click menus for Dropbox and Megasync in Thunar. Specifically, I need to generate public links via context menu, just like in Nautilus or Nemo. Does that feature work with XFCE's Thunar?

I know there is a package in AUR called thunar-dropbox which adds dropbox related items to context menus in thunar, maybe you could try that.

I've tried that, but only offers "Move to Dropbox" menu.

Oh, it's been a while since I used dropbox, I don't remember what was available in that package. Well, I can't help you further, hope someone else will be able to.

@Zeffanyx

If you visit another Folder as Dropbox the right-klick-menue offers only "move to Dropbox"

If you are in the Dropbox folder you get more options like Share link, earlier Version, see on dropbox.com (not correktly the same  but I used in another language).

The menu changed a little  again if you are in the Dropbox/private folder.

Made quik a short Movie for better underständing

And what about Megasync?

There is a simple workaround that I find preferable to a separate program; like always with Thunar, custom actions is the way to go.
But instead of uploading the files or folders to "/MEGAsync Uploads", they will simply be copied in the Mega folder on the computer and from there uploaded by the megasync client.

So: add a custom action in Thunar with the line:

cp -r %F "/path/to/your/Mega/folder"

and check all boxes for Appearance conditions.
